The intention of this booklet is to share my experience with embracing change. I lay out what the blocks and obstacles were along my spiritual journey and what I have had to change in my thinking and reactions to morph into the truth of who I am, and my purpose for being here in this particular life. I will also share how those shifts in my perceptions of things and other people have resulted in moments of peace and calm, of greater empathy for others, and the challenges they face in their own lives. I will show how a larger capacity for listening without judgment and without the need to offer “fixes” to whatever is shared with me by others has improved everything. Interestingly enough, with all the challenges and opportunities of this past year, I will talk about how easy it is to get caught up in the stresses of each moment. However, it has been a year for which I am most grateful—not for the horrendous losses and suffering others have endured in a time of great inequality at so many levels, but because I have been given an opportunity to slow down and appreciate what is around me to be grateful about, and to spend my time in ways that have allowed me to listen to that still, small voice within, utilizing the powers within to support the direction of my life.

I also share with you some moments in my life that are not so calm and peaceful and what I suspect are fears I still deal with in very subtle, but no less limiting, ways. As I share those with you, please consider them as opportunities for you to choose understanding and compassion over judgment, for such choices mean you appreciate the gifts I am offering and that you are making choices that move you into a more expansive expression of who you are and who you have come here to BE!
